Lockhart River Art

In addition to the core group of artists that work at Lockhart River Art Centre every day, the centre has also nurtured and supported the careers of several accclaimed artists, such as Rosella Namok, Silas Hobson, Fiona Omeenyo and Samantha Hobson.

Rosella Namok

Rosella Namok has been listed as one of Australia’s most collectable artists for over six years in a row. Although she now exhibits mainly as an independent artist in solo shows, she still participates in group shows with Lockhart artists and her work is available for sale at the art centre.

Works by Silas Hobson, Moira Macumboy, Leroy Platt, Denise Fruit, Joanne Butcher and Maureen Sandy are also available for sale through the art centre. Samantha Hobson is no longer connected to the art centre or the Lockhart River Art Gang, having carved herself a successful career as an independent artist.
